Fitness & Fun Back on the Maternity Map! The Countdown to Local Classes Restarting is ON!
For anyone who is pregnant or had a baby in this crazy Covid time, the desire to return to a life-less-weird is even more pressing. How long until I can introduce my baby to anyone who isn’t in our immediate support bubble without their being a screen involved? How long before I can get out there and meet some people who understand what I’m going through in pregnancy or the first months of motherhood? How long before my little one can meet another baby and start interacting and learning about the world around them?
But the light is now on at the end of this very long tunnel – and that definitely makes not wishing away the next few weeks quite hard! As the Covid-19 restrictions which have left many expecting and new mums isolated are eased, it’s now only a matter of days until face to face sessions for mums-to-be, mums and little ones are back on the agenda! We CAN’T WAIT – and neither can our members!
“I’m really excited about the return to face to face classes. Virtual classes are great, but it’s not the same as getting out in the real world. I’m so looking forward to my first in person fitness class of the year, and really pleased that some new baby classes have been added that I can take my daughter to on my days off from work.” Melissa, mum of 2, from Horsham
Under the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown restrictions, parent and child groups are amongst the first gatherings of people to be allowed beyond the rule of six, indicating just how important social and developmental interaction is for this section of the population.
In line with current Government guidance, we are able to resume our antenatal Mums-to-Bee and postnatal Mummy&Me outdoor fitness classes from March 29th, with indoor parent and baby sessions following from April 12th. Indoor pregnancy sessions will hopefully be back on the timetable from May if everything goes according to plan!
Busylizzy’s timetable of weekly classes offers the perfect combination of structure and flexibility – and the freedom of our membership model is even more important in the current climate. Classes can be booked in advance or on the day via the Busylizzy App or online, and cancelled up to two hours ahead of a session – essential when juggling pregnancy niggles and work or the effects of sleepless nights with a baby, but SO important if you’re worried you’re showing Covid symptoms and need to self isolate ahead of getting a test! Moreover, all local memberships offer unlimited access to the online classes on Busylizzy Live, so a class can also be completed from home if you do find yourself back in your own mini lockdown.
And while we’re beyond excited at the prospect of getting back to what we love doing, we’re also not complacent about the new world that we’re now operating in. All Busylizzy classes are fully risk-assessed against the Covid-19 context and will continue to follow all relevant health and safety guidelines to keep our members and team safe. You’re in safe hands!
