The death of termly classes

termly classes
It was 2009 when I started attending fitness and baby classes with my little one. After working in the fitness industry for 15 years, I was used to enjoying a variety of group fitness classes each week from spinning to yoga so when I entered my new mummy world, I was quite shocked that I was being asked to pay for a block of the same class upfront. Add to this the unpredictability of having a new baby who quite often didn’t want to co-operate with a set weekly class pattern and hey presto, half of my classes were missed!
I was frustrated by this and my mummy friends were annoyed by this too, so I decided to do something about it and Busylizzy was born.
Busylizzy was launched in 2011, over 12,000 families have enjoyed classes with us and a lot has changed since then but our core service and flexibility remains the same.
Here’s 3 reasons why termly classes are declining and how Busylizzy does it differently:
Choice – we live in a world full of choice so why would you want to stick to the same 1 class each week. Baby Signing 10am Wednesday might seem like a great idea when you sign up but by week 4 you’re starting to feel like a change would be nice and you baby might not be ‘into it’. At Busylizzy, there are a variety of classes being held every day and as a member, come along or log in online and enjoy the ones you want to do that day – simple. Lots of choice for mums and babes.
Price – Cheaper isn’t better. Infact cheaper often means poorer quality and that’s the last thing any of us want for our babies. At Busylizzy, we offer tremendous value for money with our virtual membership. Rather than signing upto 1 class, for the same price, you are signing up to a whole portfolio of sessions to suit your mood. Sweat, stretch and enjoy classes when you like. That’s amazing value for money!
Penalties – when I missed classes with my little one, I never got a refund and was rarely given the opportunity to have a ‘make up’ session. I recall missing nearly a whole term of baby classes because my little one had chickenpox. This annoyed me….a lot! So when I sent up Busylizzy, I was determined to do it differently and make our mummy world a fair and flexible one. If you cannot make a live class session, no problem. All classes are available after the session to watch later meaning you can catch up anytime, re watch a favourite or do a couple back to back. The choice really is yours. Flexibility our members LOVE!
Flexibility and fun for our members is our top priority. When you think about it, why would anyone commit themselves and their baby to a fixed weekly class schedule they are unlikely to be able to stick with. Babies develop at different times and at different rates so the outcomes and stimulation required from a class varies. Mums also want to switch up their workouts when they are ready. A club host all pregnancy, postnatal fitness, baby and toddlers classes means us mummies can simply kick back and enjoy what we want, when we want.
