Back in 2011, I had been on maternity leave with my second child and faced the daunting prospect of returning to work. I needed to contribute to the household income, but desperately wanted to be able to work around my young family. My employer tried to be accommodating, but was unable to offer me the flexibility I needed, so I ditched the commute and Busylizzy was born!

From the outset, I had a very simple vision “to give our members the best possible maternity leave experience with our professional classes, personal service and awesome flexibility”.

Fast forward 13 years and my kitchen table business is now a multiple award winning national franchise, with 29,000+ new and expectant parents across the UK and employing over 250 freelance instructors. I’m proud to have built a business that prioritises family life, fun & well-being for our members, owners, staff and support teams.
